Stay well this Easter
We would like to make patients aware that The Surgery will be operating with different opening hours during the Easter bank holiday.
As a result, it’s important that patients are as prepared as possible for the bank holiday in case themselves, or a family member, becomes unwell.
Patients with repeat prescriptions should ensure they have enough medication to see them through until after the bank holiday. Please inform reception as soon as possible if you need a repeat prescription.
If you need to see a GP outside of surgery operating hours, please call NHS 111.
NHS 111, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, can also provide urgent medical advice or direct you to the most appropriate service for your need.
There will also be some pharmacies open over the Easter bank holiday. Pharmacists are highly qualified medical experts and can see you without an appointment – meaning you don’t have to wait to get medical advice and attention when you’re not feeling your best.
You can find out which pharmacies are open and when at www.greaterprestonccg.nhs.uk
You can find out what The Surgery’s opening hours will be by telephoning the surgery, or the poster in surgery
The surgery can offer access to bookable appointments up to 8pm Monday to Friday and on Saturday and Sunday AM.
Please be advised that availability is limited and will be by pre-booked appointment only. Access may not always be provided at this surgery and you may need to travel to an alternative practice.
These appointments will not be available to book on line - therefore please speak to a member of our reception staff for further advice
We would like to thank all our patients who attended the informal information afternoon on Tuesday 20th February 2018. The afternoon was very positive overall with some good points being raised by our patients. There was some concern from a number of patients regarding the frequency of the bus services on Garstang Road. We would therefore like to have a greater understanding of how this may affect patients and whether we are able to address this with local bus companies.
We would be grateful if you could complete the attached travel survey which will greatly assist with further analysis of the situation and enable us to open discussions with both Preston City Council and the bus companies.
We are hoping to hold more information events and if you would like to be informed of these please send me an email and I will add your email address to our database or alternatively we can send you an invitation through the post if you just ask a receptionist to forward the details to myself.
We will also be displaying posters in the waiting room and will put the information on the website for future reference.
If you would like more information please do not hesitate to contact the practice manager Ann-Marie Donaldson Nixon at the surgery or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you would like to be involved in the future developments please contact the practice manager Ann-Marie on the email address above who would be more than happy to discuss this.
