COMPUTER UPGRADE

In June & July 2009, the surgery computer system is being upgraded and therefore cannot be used for any procedures, ie:

• repeat prescriptions
• booking or cancelling of routine appointments

The surgery system will therefore be down on:

• Wednesday 17 June & Thursday 18th June 2009
• Wednesday 15, Thursday 16 & Friday 17 July 2009

What this means :

APPOINTMENTS

• Urgent appointments can be booked on those days
  HOWEVER NO ROUTINE APPOINTMENTS CAN BE MADE.
  We request that you ring at a later date to book non urgent appointments.
  
  PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAKE ONLINE EMIS ACCESS APPOINTMENTS DURING THE ABOVE TIMES

PRESCRIPTIONS

As we cannot access our surgery system at all on those days, we cannot check your computer based prescribing screen.

This means we cannot issue repeat prescriptions from the computer.

• If your repeat prescription is going to be due on these dates, please order a week early to avoid delay.
   
• If you get 28 days supply, you will be provided with a post dated prescription if you order from 8 June onwards; i.e. you will be given 2 prescriptions - one for June and one for July.

Any urgent prescriptions will have to be handwritten.

EMIS ACCESS USERS (ONLINE SERVICES)

You will still be able to access EMIS online via our surgery website BUT the surgery will not have be able to collect & review any request you have made until after our system upgrade has been complete.

Please be aware that if you use EMIS online for prescriptions, we will not be aware of your online request for several days, during the above time period.

If you make any appointments during the above times, we will not be able to access the system & so you may attend for an appointment we do not know about.

Please make appointments using the phone during this period.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause & thank you for your understanding.

EXTENDED OPENING HOURS

As from 17th November, we will be providing a late night surgery session on Monday evenings with appointments available for both GP and practice nurse.
Our extended hours are from 6.30 – 8.30 pm.

Dr David Hans

Having completed his training year with us, David joins our team of Doctors as a Salaried GP.

We also welcome Dr Edward Kalanzi who is our GP Registrar.

EMIS ONLINE SERVICES

Patients are now able to book Routine GP Appointments and update personal contact information online. 

We will be offering online repeat prescription ordering and access to your medical records online soon.
