Flu and Pneumonia Immunisation at The Surgery
Monday 2nd October 2017 1:20-5pm and Tuesday 10th October 2017 8:30am-12:15pm
Flu is highly contagious and the NHS offer a free vaccination each year to eligible groups of patients.
Who is entitled?
All patients registered with the practice who are 65 years of age or over
Anyone registered with the practice who is 6 months old and under 65 years old with any of the following conditions:
- Heart Problems (angina or heart attack)
- Asthma Patients on preventer (steroid) inhalers
- Kidney Disease
- Lowered Immunity due to steroid (tablet) medication or chemotherapy
- Liver disease
- Pregnant women
- Chronic neurological disease
- Front line healthcare workers
- Carers for elderly or disabled patients
If you cannot attend during the allocated clinics, you are welcome to book an appointment with the nurse during normal surgery hours. It would be greatly appreciated if patients attending for their flu jab are appropriately attired and remove any outer clothing before being called down to be vaccinated.

The nurse will advise you if you are also entitled to a Pneumonia vaccination. (Usually only needed once in a lifetime).
